Golf In Durban
You will find many excellent golf courses in and around Durban. For the golf lover, playing golf is the best way to experience the natural beauty of an area. Go on a golf tour and play on the best courses in the Durban area while at the same time visiting some of the best tourist attractions the area has to offer. For more accommodation information on golf tours in Durban visit the South African Golf Tours website.

The Golden Mile
The Golden Mile skirts the main beaches of the Indian Ocean and is flanked by luxury hotels and apartment blocks. Attractions include an amusement centre, paddling pools, paved walkways, gardens and fountains. Be sure to take the children to Funworld, with its bumper cars, roundabouts and hurdy-gurdy machines. Take a ride in a cable car for a birds-eye view of the beach front and the pools, fountains and lawns of the Ampitheatre Gardens.

Fitzsimons Snake Park
Visit the snake park for lectures and venom-milking demonstrations. The park is inhabited by a host of South African and exotic snake species. The park places a strong emphasis on education and the important role snakes play in their natural environment.

Nagle Dam
The dam is nestled at the bottom of the picturesque Valley of a Thousand Hills. The road to the dam winds down the side of the Valley through scenic countryside. The road is effectively a cul de sac but there is a dirt road at the dam that will take you to Wartburg.

The Dam is being developed as a 3500ha wildlife reserve and currently houses zebra, impala and duiker. You can go on sundowner cruises on the dam. There are toilets, picnic and braai facilities at the dam as well as a conference centre.

Phezulu Safari Park
Phezulu Safari Park is only 30 minutes from Durban. When you visit Phezulu you enter into the heart of Zulu traditions. In a typical Zulu village of beehive huts, you can experience the Zulu way of life, watch sangomas (witchdoctors and traditional healers) and watch Zulu dancing. PheZulu means 'high up' and the safari park is high up the hills above the Valley of a Thousand Hills. There is also traditional lunches available for visitors.
