Plettenberg Park is an exclusive 5 star boutique
hotel in the heart of the Garden Route only eight minutes from the
centre of Plettenberg Bay. It is situated within a proclaimed private
nature reserve, on a cliff edge overlooking the Indian Ocean.
Accommodation comprises 8 large luxury rooms with sea or lake views
and 1 small luxury room with a sea view. All rooms have extra long
sleigh beds in white linen, ceiling fans, remote control satellite
TV and video recorder, tea and coffee making facilities, telephones
and safes. In addition, the large luxury rooms offer mini bars and
fireplaces. The décor is simplistic with a pristine Calvin
Klein feel. The interior of the hotel has an Afro-Colonial look
which is very contemporary, reflecting the philosophies of the nineties
- comfort, restraint, romance and above all - understatement. Plettenberg
Park is an all weather hotel, brilliant in sunshine, with a wrap-around
view and a private beach. In winter, this is 'Heathcliff' country,
wild and spectacular with blazing log fires and deep softly upholstered
chairs to sink into. Plettenberg Park's policy is one of total exclusivity,
privacy and dedication to personal service. On guests arrival, menus
are discussed with the chef ensuring every need is catered for.
The superb cuisine has a distinctly Mediterranean flavour with light,
colourful dishes made from the freshest ingredients. The hotel boasts
its own gym, sauna and steam room where massage treatments and personal
training can be arranged. Although Plettenberg Park does not have
any conventional conference venues, the cocktail lounge can be used
for boardroom meetings catering for up to 10 executive delegates.
